 The Annual Wray Scarecrow Festival
Bands Wanted for Saturday April 29th 2017

We would be really interested to hear from any bands that may want to play on our truck stage on Saturday 29th April in the afternoon. We usually get a really good turnout for the festival so it would be a really good chance to get seen!

Additionally on Sunday 30th April and Monday 1st May we run a 'Buskers Stop's in the village (no power, so acoustic etc. only) - unfortunately we can't offer payment, but performers would be welcome to put a hat down or sell CDs etc. Attendance is really high, depending on weather!

We would really like to hear from anyone interested

Please contact for more details, book in times etc.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Many thanks Ali

Keep an eye out for bands wanted each year
Wake the Lakes 2013

We run a bike rally in Kendal every year in July.
It is a 3 night event with bands on each night and entertainment throughout the weekend.
We're looking to offer a slot , or two, to young local bands.
Initially our idea would be a Saturday afternoon open air slot with support slot on Saturday night.
To make this work, and to make it enjoyable for the band, it would have to be the right type of music. Though this could be a wide spectrum.

If you feel you could be of any assistance, in the way please feel free to contact me.

Glorious is the third in a trilogy of large-scale pieces by performance company Rajni Shah Projects currently touring the UK and Europe. Glorious is being researched and developed as a distinctive piece of musical theatre where participants are involved in the process of making the show.

From a full blown orchestra to a small folk band, in each location the pre-existing score is adapted and arranged in collaboration with musical director Suzie Shrubb to suit the instruments available, re-imagining the work each time it's performed.

We are now looking for a music group of any size or instrumentation (including voice) to take part in making the next performance of Glorious as part of Live at LICA’s theatre/music programme on the 1st December 2012.

If you would like to find out more about the project, come and meet Suzie at More Music in Morecambe on WEDNESDAY 25th JULY 2012 at 7pm.

If you have any questions, contact Suzie on, or Alice on or 01524 592994.

If you cannot make the July date but would still like to hear more, please get in touch.

Further information on the project can be found at
